Gradient has the honour of 6 current world records, the European XC record, the British XC record, the British Flight to Goal record as well as overall wins in all the major paragliding events: World Championship, World Cup and the X-Alps. Last year Luca Donini aboard his Gradient Axax SR7 won what is perhaps the highest rated event of the comp scene, The Europeans. This completes the set of the top trophies. This amazing record of success is mirrored by year on year sales growth in a market where many brands are seeing recession or turning to hype to hold on. Many pilots have achieved their best results on Gradient gliders which we consider reflects our aim to always build wings that are a pleasure to fly....You too may break a record some day. Your dreams are waiting... fly there!

Cross Country was founded in 1988 by Sherry Thevenot, a Californian who'd moved to Dijon, France. Flying in Europe and travelling the world as an FAI official, Sherry felt that an international forum was needed for pilots to stay in touch with the latest happenings in the global flying community. Cross Country quickly developed a reputation as a passionate magazine, connected with the world of competition and development. And with colour printing and the desktop publishing revolution of the early 1990s came the ability to broadcast a wealth of superb photographs to the flying world.
Ulric Jessop deserves a mention for the work he does in providing some of the competition scoring and communications software, without which we'd be very much in the dark ages. Together with his wife, Ruth, they rent out an apartment in France (Les Basses Beaumettes) for all outdoor types including paragliding. |
