Krusevo - Very interesting town to walk around, visit the Monument, the food is the Skar bar is highly recommended.
Marble Quarry lake – Take your towel and costume as it is a must visit (weather permitting). It is 20 miles away across the valley, with a 40 minute uphill walk, but is apparently well worth it.
Stobi (Veles) – 2 hours by car. Stunning Roman remains.
Heraclea Lycestis (Bitola) – More Roman remains.
Bitola – 1 hour by car. This is Macedonia's second city, with interesting architecture, museums and shops.
Prilep – 45 minutes by car. A City on the plain with a beautiful monastery.
Gostivar – 2 hours by car. As Prilep, another city on the plain with a large monastery.
Kichevo – 1 hour 10mins by car. Fortress and monastery.
Ohrid – 2 hours by car. On the beautiful Lake Ohrid.

One tip, if you don't have a hire car then local taxis are much cheaper than in the UK, as is minibus hire if more people would like to explore further afield.
