Competition days are Friday 4th May - Monday 7th May. Thursday 3rd May evening for registration
Entry is on a first come, first paid basis. Registration alone will not guarantee your place. If any round is oversubscribed a waiting list system will be used. Payment for the Pennine round should be received by 31st March 2018. If you pay at the event there will be a £5.00 surcharge.
Camping will be on site at the Gliding Club for caravans, campers and tents but there is no electric hook-up. Camping fees are £7.00 per person per night (children £3.50) and payable at registration. Due to space constraints we are unable to offer camping for anyone other than competing pilots and their partners/families or BP Cup staff. Facilities at the club are good with showers and toilets, a lounge, and the club kindly allow us to use their small kitchen. There is also a BBQ area in the garden. Free wifi is available and a lecture/briefing room is provided for our use. There is no bar so make sure you bring your preferred beverage, alternatively there is a very good pub, The Sun in nearby Chipping and their food is recommended. For those who prefer to have an electric hook-up there is a campsite not far away, also in Chipping (Caravan, Trailer Tent or Motorhomes only) http://www.brickhouseccs.co.uk/.
We will not provided a minibus but will use the successful self-retrieve system from 2017 asking pilots to double up in vehicles with comp funds contributing towards fuel costs. For retrieves of any distance, the comp funds will contribute towards taxi, bus and train fares but pilots are expected to negotiate fares with taxi drivers and fill taxis to capacity where at all possible.
